Monitoring Indonesia

On 27 June 2013, 15 bloggers, lawyers and activists form SAFEnet in Bali, Indonesia. SAFEnet is an abbreviation for Southeast Asia Freedom of Expression Network, based in Jakarta, Indonesia. As a network for free expression defenders (FED) across Southeast Asia countries, SAFEnet main works are to promote and to defend freedom of expression, especially online freedom of expression.

We start to monitor violations against freedom of expression and work together with our partners to give advocacy to those who need help.

Now on our 3rd Anniversary today, we decide to open our monitoring on freedom of expression in Indonesia for public.
