Happy 4th birthday, SAFEnet!
27 June 2013 – 27 June 2017
On 27 June 2013, 15 bloggers, journalists, lawyers and activists form SAFEnet in Bali, Indonesia. SAFEnet is an abbreviation for Southeast Asia Freedom of Expression Network, based in Jakarta, Indonesia.
As a network for free expression defenders (FED) across Southeast Asia countries, SAFEnet main works are to promote and to defend freedom of expression, especially online freedom of expression.
We start to monitor violations against freedom of expression and work together with our partners to give advocacy to those who need help.
Now on the 4th anniversary, we grow together with 25 volunteers and hopefully many more to join SAFEnet!
